Reporter Laid to Rest, Investigation Continues
The funeral of Fenville Times reporter Jorge Holmstead was held Wednesday at Saint Matthew of Lilliput Church in downtown Fenville. The service was attended by more than 150 people, including many of Holmstead's relatives from Mexico. Holmstead's twin brother, Jesus, was notably distraught by the loss. COMMUNITY NEWS:
Local Soldier Returning Home Soon
PFC Nathan Miller of Fenville has been serving with the United States Army for four years, most of this past year spent in Iraq. Now, his family has received word that he will be coming home within the next few months. Due to the continued tension in the Middle East, Miller's discharge date had been pushed back several times. However, Miller's family says this time it's really happening. "We're very proud of Nathan, and we look forward to welcoming him home," said Kristin Miller, Nathan's older sister. Nathan enlisted in the service shortly after graduating from Edison High School in 1999, and has served in former Yugoslavia as well as the Middle East.

CORRECTION:
Last Week's report on the slaying of Jorge Holmstead contained a typo. The article stated that the Schlock's Brewery was located in Grand Oaks Township, which surrounds the city of Grand Oaks on the east side of Fenville County. The brewery is actually located in Big Oaks Township, approximately 7 miles north of the City of Fenville. We apologize for any confusion.
