Still No Leads on Reporter Slaying
Local and Federal Officials are still baffled by the murder of Jorge Holmstead. Efforts were hindered earlier this week when a thief allegedly burgled Holmstead's house in Fenville, taking, among valuables, a filing cabinet filled with Holmstead's recent notes and memoranda concerning his continuing articles on drug problems in the city. Police stated that they are unsure whether the burglary has anything to do with Holmstead's murder.

BREAKING NEWS:
Fire at Bed & Breakfast Damages Historic Building
Late Saturday evening, a fire broke out in the kitchen of the Swallow Hill Bed & Breakfast in downtown Fenville. No one was injured in the blaze, but it did significant damage to the historic Ned Swallow House, location of Fenville's first post office. The kitchen and adjoining office were destroyed in the fire, according to the building's owner, Stan Sheinberg. The Bed & Breakfast will remain closed until the damage is repaired.
