CONTINUING COVERAGE:
Schlock's Brewery Owner Questioned by Police, Released
Three weeks after Fenville Times reporter Jorge Holmstead was found murdered on the grounds of the Schlock's Brewery in Big Oaks Township, Schlock's owner Barry Norse was taken into police custody on Friday, and was released nearly seven hours later. Norse would not comment on the matter, but the Fenville County Sherriff's office insisted that Norse was not a suspect in the case. "We questioned Mr. Norse on the nature of his meeting with Holmstead on the day of the murder, in an effort to narrow down the probability of our suspects," said Fenville County Sherriff James Bluth in a prepared statement.

Two days earlier, Jesus Holmstead, Jorge Holmstead's brother and Schlock's Brewery Brewmaster, was also questioned and released by police and Federal officials. Federal investigators have launched their own inquiry into the Holmstead's murder as well as the recent rash of mob-related killings in and around the Fenville area. Neither Holmstead nor Federal officials would comment on the nature of the questioning.
